School - not a place of learning, or a place to simply make friends .. it's a place, for me, to spend my time so I don't feel unproductive doing something else (in particular, nothing).  Isn't that kind of what life is?  After school, I feel like I will need to work, if not to keep myself from dying from boredom.  When at home from school, my parents would always want me to be doing things, whether they were chores, homework .. or just whatever.  Something at least semi-productive.  The more I could show that i've done something in a particular day, the more they would get off my back .. and what could be better than spending eight hours away from home 'learning'?
