"Money makes the world go 'round"
Partially since the economy is so broad, I have noticed parts of my other discourses that have been related to it.
Well .. this is kind of obvious. School, career choice ..
There is a general sense of thriftiness in my family discourse page. From our living arrangements on vacations to where our vacations are (mostly Asia as opposed to Europe), we always keep our pocketbooks in mind. We would drive to most places in the continental U.S. (because plane tickets were too expensive), and we'd really try to take care of alot of things for ourselves, trying to depend less on others.
