pronounciation: "plain-o"

I'm from Plano, TX. Originally, i'm from Richardson (about 15-20min from Plano) but my parents wanted to move into a bigger house, and have better schools for me and my brother. I went from a school of about 5% asians to a school with over 20%. They were all middle to upper class; all my friends were either in orchestra or band. They were all taking as many AP classes as possible as well.

Most of the girls were prude, most of the guys played games. And .. some still are. It's sad, yes, but true.

My friends and I used to joke that we lived in the Plano-"bubble". This idea came from the fact that Plano was so safe and so boring, it was like we lived in a bubble. The town we would compare ourselves to (or rather, the movie), where nothing bad ever happens. No guns, no drugs (or so we thought), and best of all .. the streets are all in a grid formation so it's impossible to get lost!
